Detailed structure analyses on Cobalt doped PbTiO3 powders

The identification of the defects and secondary phases which significantly affect material properties are crucial importance. In this study, a systematic structure examination PbTiO3 cobalt doped powder ceramics was carried out. X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier-transform infrared (FT-IR), Raman, electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopies were applied along with nonsimultaneous thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). undoped materials synthesized via practical sol-gel route that takes place at 50 °C. perovskite formation for both verified. dislocation density found to be 0.0121 nm-2 while it 0.00239 material. Besides, strong strain effect observed XRD. This attributed Co3O4 phase detected through EPR FT-IR analyses. during synthesis revealed previously unexpected nonimproved ferroelectric behavior PbTiO3. dielectric constant loss (tan δ) estimated as 1066 0.8370, respectively.
